Rivets are mainly used to connect two metal parts. Although welding has become a popular substitution in some cases, rivets still have an important role in engineering design and they are still very widely used.

Liberty Fastener Rivet Selection

We have three kinds of rivets to offer:

Blind Rivets
Solid Rivets
Tubular Rivets

Blind rivets are our most popular rivet that we sell. A blind rivet is placed in a pre-drilled hole and is usually used when only one side of the joint is accessible. Blind rivets are an economical way of making a semi-permanent joint. They have many applications, but are especially popular in aerospace and manufacturing industries.

Solid Rivets

Solid rivets are used when the job calls for a high level of joint strength. The solid metal composition of the rivet makes it ideal for medical instruments, automotive uses, toggle clamps, pumps, some furniture mechanisms, and various tools.

Tubular Rivets

Tubular rivets are another economical form of holding a joint together. They are a great choice for any kind of application that requires a lower level of joint strength. Ideal uses would be for small tools like scissors or electronic devices.
